Step into one of the most extraordinary underwater experiences in The Bahamas. This unforgettable adventure takes you to the Sir Nicholas Nuttall Coral Reef Sculpture Garden at Clifton Heritage National Park — an underwater sanctuary where art, nature, and conservation come together to create a breathtaking world beneath the waves. Created and protected by BREEF this tour requires a minimu.m donation of 25$ p/p to BREEF.org
Stop 1: The Underwater Sculpture Garden — Clifton Heritage Park
Your journey begins at one of the Caribbean’s most meaningful marine installations, created to protect fragile coral reefs, support reef restoration, and inspire future generations through powerful art.
During your snorkel, you will explore several magnificent underwater sculptures:
Ocean Atlas

Created by world-renowned artist Jason deCaires Taylor, Ocean Atlas is one of the largest underwater statues in the world. It depicts a young Bahamian girl carrying the weight of the sea — a symbol of strength, responsibility, and the future of our oceans.
Virtuoso Man

Created by Bahamian artist Willicey Tynes, this piece celebrates Bahamian culture, identity, and artistic spirit.
Lucayan Faces

Designed by Bahamian artist Andret John, these sculpted masks honor the Lucayans, the first Indigenous people of The Bahamas, connecting guests with centuries of history beneath the sea.
Coral Domes & Reef Balls

Scattered throughout the underwater garden are specially engineered structures, including coral-growing domes and reef balls.
These create new habitat for fish, support coral restoration, and help relieve pressure on natural reefs. Many of these domes already support growing coral and thriving marine life — a living testament to ongoing conservation.
This underwater world is serene, vibrant, and deeply impactful. You are not just observing art — you are witnessing the ocean heal and rebuild itself. It’s beauty with purpose.
It’s adventure with impact.
And it’s a moment you’ll carry with you long after you rise back to the surface.
Stop 2: Choose Your Second Adventure
After your time at the statues, choose one of the following:
Option A — Golden Cay Reef Snorkel
A shallow, colorful reef where schools of reef fish, corals, and marine life move gracefully through crystal-clear water.

“If every visitor made one small change, I would hope they vote for politicians who support marine conservation!!!”
These beliefs guide every sculpture he creates — from the Caribbean to the Pacific.
⸻
HIS WORK IN THE BAHAMAS
The Bahamas first welcomed Jason’s art in 2014, with the installation of Ocean Atlas — the world’s largest underwater figurative sculpture at the time.
A decade later, his newest creation has been quietly added to our waters.
